Want to Be Part of the "Fallout 76" B.E.T.A.? Bethesda Reveals How to Play the Game Early

"Test subjects wanted."

In October, punters who have pre-ordered Fallout 76 will become the first in the world to trial the game.

This means you’ll get a chance to play the new Fallout up to a month before its official release on 14 November.

According to a thread by the game developer Bethesda, those who specifically pre-order Fallout 76 from a participating retailer will be invited to participate in their "B.E.T.A." (AKA their "Break It Early Test Application").

By the way, you can pre-order the game right now. At this time, EB Games, JB Hi-Fi and Amazon are the only participating retailers allowing Australians to pre-order, not including Bethesda.net for the digital version.

The "B.E.T.A." will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The group of testers will start small and grow in the lead-up to the game's launch, beginning with those on Xbox One.

Bethesda even made this fancy infographic to explain the process:

Of course, you’ll have to be 18+ to participate in the "B.E.T.A." and you’ll need the appropriate platform/console. (Keep in mind, we’ve already learnt Fallout 76 won’t allow cross-play, so choose wisely). Timing and territories is still to be determined. You can check out their full "B.E.T.A." FAQ here.

More details on the hotly anticipated game will be announced at Bethesda’s annual fan convention, QuakeCon, during the Fallout 76 panel on 11 August.
