Heading to Leavers or Schoolies? Here's Your Ultimate Packing List

Bring good energy, ya tent and a whole load of sunscreen 😎
Congratulations! You’ve made it through 12 years of school and you’re finally free.
Now it’s time for the fun stuff – Schoolies/Leavers.
Hug your parents goodbye and pat your dog because it’s nearly time to get going. If you’re one of the lucky ones heading to Schoolies/Leavers in the next few weeks and you’re not sure how to pack, then look no further.
As seasoned veterans, we’ve compiled a list of must-bring things to Schoolies/Leavers.
Sunscreen.

It’s summertime, it’s hot and you do not want to come back from your trip looking like a cooked lobster.
If you are someone who burns easily it’s worth reapplying sunscreen throughout the day. According to the Cancer Council, regardless how often you are prone to burning, sunscreen should be reapplied every two hours.
So slip, slop, slap your way into a fun time away without looking like a cooked sausage.
Mosquito repellent.

You never realise how bad the mozzies are until its 2am in the morning and you can’t stop scratching that one bite on your ankle.
We suggest packing a hefty can of mosquito repellent along with you so you can avoid spending your Schoolies/Leavers trip scratching 24/7.
A power bank.
Your phone will probably die.
It’s bound to happen so you should defs take steps to combat it from happening.
Chances are, your mum and dad back home will want to hear from you. Don’t let your phone die so they are stuck waiting by their phone all night hoping to hear from you.
Pack a power bank and that way you can carry one on the go with you and you won’t lose out on the opportunity to capture every single moment either.
A jumper.

Don’t be fooled. Even though the days are hot and sweaty, the nights do get chilly.
If you don’t want to get a cold (or freeze all night long) pack a few jumpers just in case.
A torchlight.

Packing a small torchlight with you is a good option, especially if your phone is prone to dying.
Depending on where you’re staying, some areas will be dimmer and have less lighting.
So having a small torch on you will help you get around and not step on any critters while you’re trying to make your way back to your accommodation in the dead of night.
Beach gear.

Most Schoolies/Leavers are near some sort of beach or body of water.
So you should most definitely make the best of hot girl summer and bring some bathers and a beach towel with you.
Even if you’re one of those people who claims they hate the beach, bring your towel.
The last thing you want is to rock up without any gear and then have massive FOMO because everyone else is having a swim and you’re stuck waiting on the sand.

It’s officially time for you to begin your adult life, so don’t forget anything because mum and dad won’t be there to bail you out this time!
But above all else, have a good time, stay safe and look after yourself while away.
