Twitter's Decided to Cancel Cardi B After She Defends Offset's Homophobic Comments

Defending Offset's comments just made things a whole lot worse for Cardi B.

"Cancelled." That's the word that some are Tweeting out today in regards to Cardi B's career.

Her fiancé and one-third of Migos, Offset, found himself in hot water over some lyrics on his latest feature with YFN Lucci's "Boss Life".

One particular line was called out for being homophobic as it read, "I cannot vibe with queers".

Offset apologised for this line by stating that he didn't intend to use the word as a synonym for homosexuals.

"To me that 'queer' I don't mean someone who's gay," he wrote on Instagram. "I mean lame people who film you, post it and stalk you. Lingo that means strange or odd."

Some weren't satisfied with this apology as it seemed like a bit of a stretch.

But now Cardi B has spoken out about the line and defended Offset, explaining that he isn't a homophobe and that she, a 26-year-old, wasn't taught that it was a bad word in school.

"Now, that's a word that you guys say that it’s a bad word for gays—I never even heard that word in the first place—why don't y'all educate people about it?" she said on Periscope. "Our schools never teach us that these are bad words."
