Trump Bans Transgender Individuals From US Military, Enrages the World

President Trump, the self-described LGBTQIA+ ally, has just announced that the U.S. military will no longer be accepting transgender personnel on Twitter. 

Yes, Twitter. That ~very~ official medium that's previously been used to announce some of Trump's crummiest policies. 

Trump's Tweet read: "Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you."

This move is from the same dude who posted this just over a year ago:

The announcement has received a lot of criticism from prominent U.S. politicians including Republican John McCain, who believes the decision is inappropriate due to ongoing discussions. 

It comes a year after the decision was made to allow transgender personnel to serve openly in the military.

Twitter was engulfed with rage.
