Trump Admits Russia Probably Hacked The Democratic Party And Fires Off About Unverified Leaks

Donald Trump has acknowledged, for the first time, that he believes Russian operatives hacked during the political campaign; he still denies they helped him win the election, though.

In a press conference on Wednesday, President-elect Donald Trump angrily denounced the publishing of unverified memos suggesting Russia has “compromising” personal information about him.

When asked about who was responsible for the leaks of Democratic emails during the campaign, Trump admitted: “I think it was Russia.”

He thinks if Russia did have any kind of damaging information concerning him, it would have been made public.

Addressing his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump said, “If Putin likes Donald Trump, guess what folks, that’s an asset not a liability.”

“I don’t know if I’ll get along with Vladimir Putin… but even if I don’t does anyone in this room think Hillary Clinton will be tougher on Putin than me? Give me a break.”

It was his first news conference as President-elect; it had been 167 days since he last answered questions from a full media contingent. Previous winners of the presidency have faced the press far earlier.

Trump also lashed out against news reports about an unverified dossier containing supposed compromising information about him. According to the President-elect, his “crooked opponents” are trying to undermine his electoral victory.

“I think it was disgraceful, disgraceful that the intelligence agencies allowed any information that turned out to be so false and fake out there,” denounced Trump.

“That’s something that Nazi Germany would have done,” he fired off.

“Are we living in Nazi Germany?”
