Tiny Australian Hero Sings Australian Anthem Despite Having Real Bad Hiccups

Heroes aren’t born. They’re forged in the fires of South Australia’s Norwood Oval.

When seven-year-old Ethan Hall took to the field to sing “Advance Australia Fair” ahead of Adelaide Bite’s baseball match against the Brisbane Bandits, he couldn’t have known that immortality awaited him.

Two minutes later, his name was forever etched in the minds of those who saw him perform, having prevailed through a debilitating bout of hiccups.

Though the timing couldn’t have been worse, Hall held his ground and completed our nation’s anthem with zeal (despite the hiccups getting so bad they literally interrupted every word of his closing line).

Adorable National Anthem

Last night 7-year-old Ethan battled through the hiccups to perform perhaps the greatest rendition of the Australian national anthem EVER SEEN. His reaction after the song is priceless.

The audience, knowing they’d just witnessed the kind of greatness that probably wouldn’t be matched by the players of the Australian Baseball League, erupted into applause at the conclusion.

Hall then proudly exited the field, but not before excitedly high-fiving one of the passing players.

He truly is in a league of his own.
