Tina Fey Is A Hologram Now And She Swung By "SNL" To Honour Carrie Fisher

Help Felicity, Tina, you're our only hope.

Rogue One’s Felicity Jones hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend, and let’s just say she’s not going to be accused of appearing too natural or comfortable with live comedy.

Mercifully, the former Oscar nominee got a helping hand from someone who is indeed plenty comfortable on the SNL stage: Tina Fey.

The 30 Rock star returned to NBC to give a visibly nervous Jones some words of advice during her opening monologue. She even did so as a hologram; a nod to Princess Leia and likely tribute to the late Carrie Fisher, who passed away at the end of 2016.

It wasn’t even Fey’s first (or second!) tribute to Leia.

Watch the worlds collide below.

As predicted, President-elect Donald Trump was no fan of the episode.

Lucasfilm recently put to rest rumours that they’d digitally recreate Carrie Fisher for future Star Wars films. Perhaps they can consider Fey as an honourable replacement instead?
