"The West Wing" Reunion Is Now Available to Watch in Australia

Turns out Aussies can watch it after all.

Just last month, we thought that Australian viewers weren't going to be able to watch The West Wing staged reunion special, and we were pretty damn devastated about it.

At the time, we discovered that the reunion—officially titled A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote—wouldn't be made available to viewers down under. In fact, it wasn't even going to be sold internationally given its focus on the U.S. election.

However, times have changed.

Now, it has been announced that the special episode will be made available to Aussie viewers on BINGE as of Monday 2 November. So if you're a BINGE subscriber, you'll be able to watch it from today. "With all seven seasons already streaming on BINGE, we are thankful to Aaron Sorkin, the producers and Warner Brothers for agreeing to release this special episode outside of the United States so that many Australian fans of the show can enjoy it. Seeing such an accomplished cast reassemble is a treat," BINGE Executive Director Alison Hurbert-Burns said in a statement.

Additionally, it will air on FOX ONE on Tuesday 3 November at 9.00pm AEDT, and it'll be available to watch on demand.

If you're not familiar with the political drama, it chronicles the triumphs and travails of White House senior staff under the administration of President Josiah Bartlet.

It's also considered one of the best TV dramas ever created, and it's won a whopping 27 Primetime Emmy Awards. So, if that doesn't convince you to watch it, I'm not sure what will.

Martin Sheen, Allison Janney, Rob Lowe, Bradley Whitford, Dule Hill, Janel Moloney and Richard Schiff all reprise their roles for the reunion, which was filmed at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles under strict coronavirus protocols.

The special, which is a HBO Max original, was put together in advance of the coming American election to promote the "When We All Vote" initiative, which seeks to get every eligible American voter registered.

Michelle Obama, President Bill Clinton, Samuel L. Jackson, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Elisabeth Moss all make appearances too.

Well hey, you know what you're watching this week.
