The Weeknd Drops New Music Snippet, With Daft Punk Collaboration To Come
Have you missed the sound of The Weeknd mewling erotically?
He is here to quench your ear-thirst.
The Weeknd – aka Abel Tesfaye – dropped a snippet of new music on his Instagram this morning, adding fuel to the rumours he’d recently returned to the studio to work on a follow up to his breakout album Beauty Behind the Madness.
It’s believed this particular chunk of music has been taken from an upcoming tune with DJ Cashmere Cat (hence the Cat emoji in the caption).
Even more tantalisingly, an exec at Republic Records confirmed that Abel met with Daft Punk in the studio this week. For his next album? For theirs? All we know is, we gotta hear it.
Until then, play the above warbling on a loop.
