Victoria Baldesarra and Emmerly Tinglin Talk “The Next Step’s” Final Season and Touring Australia

Time for one last dance 🕺💃

Die-hard fans of The Next Step will be devastated because after a ten-season run, the show has finally come to an end.

The iconic Canadian show was full of dance-worthy moments, unforgettable routines, and even led to several spin-off shows. Aussie fans have one last chance to see the stars in person however as The Next Step: Legacy World Tour is coming to Australia this year!

The tour will see some stars come down under including Victoria Baldesarra (Michelle), Trevor Tordjman (James), Briar Nolet (Richelle), Jordan Clark (Giselle), Noah Zulfikar (Kingston), Emmerly Tinglin (Kenzie) Carter Musselman (Heath), Alex Chaves (Piper), Benjamin Williams (Pete) and Shane Mahabir (Ethan).

We chatted to Victoria and Emmerly ahead of their visit to Australia 👇

After ten seasons it’s been a pretty wild ride, and it’s got them feeling emotional for sure.

“I don't think we realised we would get to this point,” Victoria told Student Edge.

“So when they told us we were going to do another season, I was just like, oh my gosh, we’re so lucky.

“I'm, like, getting emotional talking about it. It's crazy.”

Emmerly said those emotions were true for her too.

“If I'm thinking about, the last three episodes of season 10 I can't watch them,” she said.

“If they come on my timeline, or I see them, I personally can't watch it, because I will, no matter where I am, I'll start crying.

“So it's just a lot of emotions. You [Victoria] were 13, I was 17, still in high school. Until now, I'm 26 so a long part of my life that kind of just feels like a chapter is closing.”

However, it’s not quite over yet. Some of the cast are making their way down under in April for The Next Step: Legacy World Tour.

Both Victoria and Emmerly are excited to see fans and the great Aussie landscape.

But one major thing they are looking forward to?

Snacks.

“I had way too many Tim Tams,” Victoria said of her last time in Australia.

“Like, I consumed every flavour, every type.

“And then also those, like little Caramello Koala Bears. Like, thank goodness I had those every day.

“All the fans would bring us these bags full of them so we hope that they bring us those again!”
