Witness The Glorious Lion King v. Aladdin Broadway Airport Sing-Off

When will the Impromptu Broadway Sing-Along wars end?

It seems the travelling cast of The Lion King and Aladdin are perpetually stuck in airports or on planes, driven to perform their signature songs for the delighted passengers nearby.

(If the nearby passengers are terrible people who aren’t delighted by such a thing, we’re glad they’re stuck on a plane with a hundred actors singing at the top of their lungs inside an enclosed space.)

So it went, once again, when the cast of Disney’s Broadway sensation The Lion King found themselves stuck at New York’s LaGuradia Airport for six hours. They broke into a spirited rendition of “The Circle of Life” and the lives of all around them were immediately improved.

But, what’s this? The cast of that other hit Disney Broadway show, Aladdin - the Jets to their Sharks – were stuck at LGA too, and they weren’t gonna let them steal the hearts of their fellow travelers without a little competition.

The first shots were fired by Tony-winning actor James Monroe Iglehart, famous for portraying the Genie, who served the cast of The Lion King with a devastating rap. (Okay, it was actually just very sweet.)

Then, the official sing-off began.

The winner? You, right now, because you're about to watch the glorious video below.
