‘The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’ Sells 10 Million Copies in Just Three Days

From building mechs to bullying Koroks, here’s what players have been up to.

It’s been long six-year wait since the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – a game that was recently ranked #1 on GQ’s ‘Top 100 Greatest Video Games of All Time’.

The wait was finally over for fans last Friday with the launch of its highly anticipated sequel The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and the reception has been nothing short of incredible.

Today, Nintendo announced that Tears of the Kingdom has sold over 10 million copies in its first three days, making it the fastest selling game in the history of the Zelda series.

Tears of the Kingdom is currently sitting on a whopping score of 96 on Metacritic, with Aussie gaming review publications like Press Start scoring the game 10/10, stating this sequel is ‘one of the best Zelda experiences you will ever have’.

Like most games, it’s better you go into the experience blind so we won’t go into story details we know already.

However, one of the newest mechanics added to this open-world adventure –the Ultrahand ability – has fans pushing the limits of their imagination to build some utterly amazing creations.

The Ultrahand allows you to move objects freely and fuse them together to build pretty much anything you can think of that might help you on your journey.

Nintendo showed off the Ultrahand ability in a gameplay demo a month ago, showing how you can create a longer ranged weapon by fusing a long stick and pitchfork, or fusing a raft together using a few logs and a fan.

But what if we told you someone made a fully functioning mech?

Horses? Overrated.

There are several ways you might be able to sneak past enemies, and we can’t confirm this is one of them.

With the Ultrahand ability, Koroks have become unwilling test subjects that players have been messing with.

Koroks are cute little leaf guys who are hidden all over the map and give you Korok Seeds for helping them out in puzzles.

Don’t worry– Koroks can’t actually get hurt.

But, it’s a little funny, we’re not gonna lie.

Have you played The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom yet?
