The ‘Kissing Kanyes’ Mural Is No More

The world was delighted last month when local street artist Scott Marsh splashed a wall in Sydney's inner west with a mural of two Kanyes, pashing on.

The image of two Yeezys, mid-smooch, captured (adorably) the rapper’s self-appreciation while also bringing to life his recent song “I Love Kanye” in extremely literal fashion.

But all good things must come to an end.

After selling a limited edition print of the buffed kiss for $100,000, Marsh has made good on his promise to remove the real-life mural too.

Initially, Marsh said he was approached by someone claiming to represent West who wanted the wall painted over; however, Marsh countered by saying he'd only do so if Ye purchased a $100,000 print and offered him a lifetime supply of Yeezy Boost sneakers too.

Sadly, it doesn’t seem like Kanye bought the item himself (surely he’d have Tweeted about it by now). Couple that with the fact Marsh isn’t boasting about new Yeezys on Instagram, our dream of the West-Kardashian household keeping the ‘Kissing Kanyes’ painting in their dining room seems entirely dashed.

It was good while it lasted.
