Telstra’s Gone Down Again And Everyone Is Already Asking For Another 'Free Data Day'

Four months. Four outages. At least Telstra is being consistent.
According to News.com.au, the telco has confirmed a widespread outage is affecting NBN and ADSL services, just in time for your planned weekend of nothing-but-Netflix.

"We apologise to customers and are doing everything possible to restore services as quickly as possible," Telstra said.
A leaked memo indicated that about 375,000 phone and internet customers have been affected. Perhaps you felt it yourself at home, noticing your modem turning on, connecting, turning off and restarting all by itself. No, that was not a poltergeist. It was just Telstra.
As of 11am EST, Telstra tweeted that “significant restoration had occurred”, but a number of services in New South Wales were still down.
You better believe the phrase ‘free data day’ is being bandied about on social media.
Hey @Telstra! Looking forward to a data free day on ADSL #ComeAtMeGOT #downloadfrenziehereicome #qld

For what it’s worth, iiNet, Virgin and Optus all suffered outages this week. Is this the datageddon that was once prophesised?
