Taylor Swift Overtakes Kim K And Beyoncé To Become Most Followed Person On Instagram

Taylor Swift has overtaken both Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé to become the most followed person on Instagram.

The date of her official coronation and accompanying parade are yet to be announced.

With 45.6 million followers – as of this writing – she has surpassed Kim K, who is sitting on a comparatively minuscule 45.5 million.

Beyoncé, meanwhile, only has 45 million and change. It’s like… why even bother to Instagram with that kind of number?

Swift’s trumping of Kardashian comes just as her long-standing feud with Kanye West – Kardashian’s husband and America’s inevitable President elect – subsides.

The sweetest irony? Check out the photo Swifty posted just before surpassing Kim’s follower count.

As powerful as Tay-Tay and her 45 million-strong #squad is, we fully expect to see Kim and Yoncé's legions of fans to try and push them back to the top spot. (In fact, Kim briefly unseated Swift before falling back to second place again.) And then, Taylor's army will attempt the same.

Basically, we're watching to see who hits 100 million first, folks. You will not want to miss a second of this thrilling, very important race.
