Students Across NSW Wake Up To Their HSC Results This Morning

Around 77,000 students in NSW received their long-awaited HSC results via text message this morning at 6am.
Education Minister Adrian Piccoli presented 129 certificates to 124 students yesterday who achieved First in Course Awards in a ceremony yesterday.
Sydney Grammar School was awarded seven certificates, while Fort St High School had four award recipients. James Ruse Agricultural High School also had four, and Sydney Girls High School saw three students receive certificates.
“This is a proud day for all the students who archived a First in Course result, as well as for families and their teachers,” Mr Piccoli said.
“I am thrilled, I am relieved and happy,” Kate Cousins told the ABC; she topped the state in Earth and Environmental Science.
Mr Piccoli assured students should be proud of their efforts, regardless of whether their results were what they had anticipated. “The HSC is not the be all and end all,” he said.
“There are so many pathways to people’s goals in lives… the HSC is just one of them.”
It's okay to be upset if you didn't get the #HSC2016 result you wanted. You'll know soon that no single set of exams can define your future.
