"Sorry to Bother You" Will Now Arrive in Australian Cinemas This November

Sorry not sorry.

Remember in August when we reported that Sorry to Bother You—one of the major independent hits of the American summer—wasn’t coming to Australian cinemas?

Well, sorry. Turns out it is. This November.

Back in August, director Boots Riley tweeted that "international" distributors were declining to pick up his film, with the distribs apparently claiming "Black movies" don’t do well.

However, earlier this month, Riley revealed that a release in Australia was being worked out. And now we have confirmation.

The flick—which stars Lakeith Stanfield as a black man who has to use a 'white' voice to succeed in business—will open in select Australian cinemas from 29 November, via Universal Pictures.

In Melbourne, you'll be able to exclusively watch it at Cinema Nova.

In Perth, you can exclusively catch it at Luna Leederville.

In Sydney, you can choose between Dendy Newtown and Randwick Ritz.

(But, again, you'll have to wait until 29 November. You've been so patient for so long. Hang in there!)

The surreal sci-fi comedy also stars Tessa Thompson and Armie Hammer. Get a load of it below.
