So, Turns Out Zac Efron Is Stuck in South Australia’s COVID Lockdown

He had been filming his new movie Gold.
Earlier this week, South Australia imposed a six-day lockdown to "stay ahead" of a growing coronavirus outbreak threatening the state.
As part of the lockdown, all pubs, cafes, takeaway food outlets and the construction industry have been forced to close. Plus, only one person per household is allowed to leave their home each day, and only for specific purposes.
Understandably, SA folk are probably feeling pretty down at the moment. That's why some citizens are finding comfort in the fact that they've entered lockdown with the one and only Zac Efron.
Yes, you read that correctly.

The High School Musical hottie has been living in Byron Bay since March, and he's even got himself an Aussie girlfriend—model and waitress Vanessa Valladares (sorry to crush your dreams).
It was revealed Efron was set to star in Stan's new original film Gold, which has been filming in SA. Production has reportedly paused due to COVID-19 restrictions, leaving Efron stuck in the state.
As reported by News.com.au, the actor had been spotted shopping and enjoying a beverage in Adelaide prior to the city's coronavirus outbreak.
People have taken to Twitter to express how absolutely bizarre it is that Efron is also in lockdown in SA.

Oh gosh. South Australian Twitter suddenly realising the whole state has accidentally kidnapped Zac Efron, Misery-style, trapping him in lockdown about a minute after he started filming a movie there... priceless.

Others are inviting the actor to come and live with them if he needs a place to stay.
Of course, some people have found a way to make High School Musical jokes, stating "we're all in this together".
It’s wonderful to know that when your state get stuck in lockdown for a week Zac Efron will be there with you.

Gold follows two strangers travelling through a desert who stumble upon the biggest nugget of gold ever found. When dreams of unimaginable wealth take hold, they devise a plan to protect and excavate their bounty with one man leaving to secure the necessary equipment.
According to Variety, Efron plays the man left behind, who comes up against unforgiving desert elements, ravenous wild dogs and mysterious intruders, all while wondering if his partner is ever going to come back for him.
Will he be excellent in the film? Yeah, we'd bet on it.
