Shhh: They’re Making a Sequel to "A Quiet Place"

It’ll sneak barefoot into cinemas May 2020.
Hollywood’s hottest up-and-coming stars are coming back to theatres.
We are, of course, talking about the big-eared, big-toothed, pulsating aliens of A Quiet Place.

Paramount Pictures has unveiled its upcoming slate of releases, and according to the Hollywood Reporter, they’ve set a 15 May 2020 drop date for A Quiet Place 2. (That’s the U.S. date, anyway.)
The first film grossed more than $US330 million worldwide, and, even more impressively, scored a four-star review on Student Edge, where we called it "a scream, and worth shouting about."
It told the story of a family—led by real-life marrieds John Krasinski and Emily Blunt—surviving a future dystopia in silence, hiding out from monsters who are summoned by the slightest sound.
Krasinski, who also directed and co-wrote the first flick, is already writing the sequel. And though he’s not officially signed on as director, he’s expected to helm the follow-up too…
(Spoiler alert for A Quiet Place) … though, he probably won’t star in the second flick, unless they’re keeping a camera inside the guts of the monster who gobbled him up.
Oh well. Even though we said A Quiet Place finished "at exactly the right moment", we won’t complain about the prospect of seeing a shotgun-toting Emily Blunt mowing down aliens again.
