Selena Gomez Is The Unofficial Queen Of Instagram, As In, She's The Most Followed Person In The World

Instagram has revealed Selena Gomez has 103 million followers, which is the most of any celebrity on the app.

The Associated Press reports the singer was responsible for nearly all of the most-liked celebrity posts in 2016.

Selena managed to out-perform bestie Taylor Swift (93.6 million followers), Beyoncé (88.9 million followers) and Kylie and Kendall Jenner (79.5 million and 68.9 million followers, respectively).

She also topped the most popular celebrity photo rankings; Selena had eight of the 10 most popular celeb photos, and seven of the top 10 videos.

Gomez’s most popular picture is an advertisement for Coca Cola, which brought in 5.2 million likes. (Safe to say, that was a successful ad campaign?)

Back in August, the singer announced she was grappling with side effects of lupus and experiencing “anxiety, panic attacks and depression,” before taking a break from her Revival world tour.

Selena had yet to address the hiatus on Instagram, but fans were happy to see a new post from her about a week ago. “I have a lot to be thankful for this year,” she wrote in the caption.

The post continues, “My year has been the hardest yet most rewarding one yet. I’ve finally fought the fight of not ‘being enough’. I have only wanted to reflect the love you guys have given me for years and show you how important it is to take care of YOU.”

“By grace through faith. Kindness always wins. I love you guys. God Bless,” she concludes.

As I’m sure her 103m followers would agree: Selena, it’s good to see you back.
