Rihanna Has Usurped Beyoncé As the World's Richest Female Musician

Work, work, work really has paid off for Rihanna.

Since crashing into our lives in 2005 with her naughties banger "Pon de Replay", Rihanna (AKA Robyn Fenty) has been a force to be reckoned with.

Stepping out of the realm of just music, she's since dabbled in acting, activism and becoming a fashion and makeup mogul with her Fenty Beauty range.

Forbes is now reporting just how successful RiRi's forays outside of music have been.

At the age of 31, Fenty has landed herself the title of the world's richest female musician, overtaking Beyoncé and Katy Perry from previous years.

Rihanna is, of course, no stranger to top 10 lists of the richest women in music, but previously she hovered near the lower end, while the likes of Beyoncé and Taylor Swift often dominating.

While she hasn't quite reached the dizzying heights of Kylie Jenner's controversially-described "self-made" fortune, the bad gal isn't too far behind.

According to Forbes, she's amassed $US600 million (nearly $AUD860 million) in total from her business ventures and music. Fenty Beauty itself has made a total of $US570 million (nearly $AUD815 million) in revenue despite only being in operation for 15 months. Overall, the whole business is estimated to be worth approximately $US3 billion ($AUD4.3 billion) with Rihanna reportedly owning a 15 per cent stake.

Watch out, Kylie, she's coming for your spot.
