Ralph Wiggum is Still Our Valentine's Day Mood: "The Simpsons'" Iconic "I Love Lisa" Turns 25

It's been a quarter of a century but it's still so relevant.

The longest-running animated series, The Simpsons, turned 30 last year and while there are more than 600 episodes that have aired, we still only refer to a handful of episodes from the cartoon's glory days.

One of those classic episodes is 'I Love Lisa' from the fourth season. Today, it turned 25 years old.

The episode starts out on Valentine's Day where classmates are tasked with drawing Valentine's Day cards for each other (this sounds evil).

When Ralph Wiggums receives no cards and is, relatably, forever alone, Lisa pities him and draws the iconic "I Choo Choo Choose You" card.

Lisa, ever the do-gooder, then pity-dates Ralph until she can't take it anymore.

It's one of the most memorable and heart-breakingly hilarious scenes ever.

So, just remember this fateful lesson on Valentine's Day: Don't pity-date. Also, and more importantly: The Simpsons is forever relevant.
