Exit Music: Radiohead Abandon The Internet (And Send Stalker-ish Postcards) Ahead Of New Album's Release

No surprises? Radiohead keeps pulling them ahead of their impending album release.

The iconic band has exited social media with nary an explanation, leaving their 12 million Facebook fans and 1.58 million Twitter followers staring at simply whiteness. (Seriously, there's nothing there.)

You can find the same nothingness on their official website

According to the Guardian, some fans recently received leaflets carrying a picture of Radiohead’s bear mascot, with just the words: “Sing the song of sixpence that goes ‘Burn the witch’. We know where you live.”

Comforting!

Pitchfork says “Burn the Witch” is an unreleased Radiohead song that is believed to have been recorded between 2003 and 2005.

Back in February, we started tracking the progress of their as-yet untitled ninth album, anticipating an immediate release.

Obviously, we jumped the gun. But it seems new Radiohead is closer than ever. We are at Threat Level: Midnight, people.

Here’s ‘Everything You Wanted To Know About Radiohead (But Were Afraid To Ask… Music Snobs)’.
