Quentin Tarantino Reckons "The Social Network" Is "Hands Down" the Best Film of the Last Decade

He's not wrong.

Back in January, filmmaker Quentin Tarantino announced that he considered Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk to be the second best film of the 2010s.

It left people wondering: What was Tarantino's #1 movie from the past decade?

Considering the director has helmed a number of impressive flicks during the 2010s including Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, it'd be understandable if he had a soft spot for one of his own.

However, it appears that's not the case. Instead, Tarantino has revealed that he believes David Fincher's The Social Network is the best film of the past decade.

If for some reason you haven't seen the film (there's no good excuse), it's a biographical drama that chronicles the rise of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Basically, it explores the moment at which Facebook was invented.

The flick received critical acclaim, and took home Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Music Score and Best Film Editing. It was also nominated for Best Picture, but lost to The King's Speech.

Additionally, Jesse Eisenberg was nominated for Best Actor for his portral of Zuckerberg, but Colin Firth took home the Oscar, and David Fincher missed out on the Best Director award.

Tarantino explained his choice to Premiere (via The Playlist), saying, "It's The Social Network hands down. It is number one because it's the best, that's all! It crushes all the competition."

Last year, Indie Wire reported that screenwriter Aaron Sorkin said that The Social Network could potentially be getting a sequel.

It'd be interesting, considering Facebook has changed so much over the past decade. Just today, Mark Zuckerberg has defended the social networking platform from US President Donald Trump's social media crackdown.

Jesse Eisenberg also told Indie Wire that he'd definitely be on board for the sequel. Although, he hasn't received any official offers.

Who do we have to contact to make this happen?
