Queensland Will Open Its Borders to All States Except Victoria in July

The state is relaxing its coronavirus lockout.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced that Queensland's borders will open to interstate visitors from 10 July. Except, Victorians won't be able to enter the state.
Residents from Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales, Northern Territory and the ACT will be allowed to travel to Queensland after filling out a border declaration.
As Ms Palaszczuk explained, the border declaration is to make sure people haven't travelled to Victoria in the past 14 days before entering Queensland.
Those who falsify documents will face a $4,000 fine.
The Premier also revealed stage three of Queensland's easing of restrictions will happen from Friday, which is a week earlier than anticipated. This means up to 100 people will be able to attend weddings, and contact community sports will be allowed.
Additionally, casinos will be able to open, and bigger venues can open as long as they adhere to the one person per one square metre rule.
Ms Palaszczuk said a new travel ban will be put in place so that Victorians cannot enter the state from midday on Friday 3 July.
"The border with Victoria will remain closed and will be strengthened... tougher measures will apply," the Premier said.
"Anyone who has travelled from Victoria, including Queenslanders, will be prevented from entering or will have to quarantine at a hotel at their own expense for two weeks.
"We just can't risk removing border restrictions for people coming from areas of Victoria right now. These are very big concerns."
Victoria is experiencing an ongoing spike in coronavirus cases, with 233 new cases detected since last Thursday. As reported by The Guardian, 64 of those were detected in the past 24 hours.
It has been announced that geographical lockdowns will be imposed for a series of COVID-19 hotspots in Victoria.
