A Norwegian Princess Has Decided to Study at *Checks Notes* the University of Sydney

So, who’s going to tell her what thongs mean?

Hear ye, hear ye.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway will be moving to Sydney to start studying at the University of Sydney later this August.

That’s right, Norway’s future Queen will call Sydney her home for the next three years.

The Royal House of Norway made a statement noting that she’s enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts and “has chosen a three-year degree with a focus on international relations and political economy.”

Not only that, but she’ll be also studying full-time and residing in student residence on campus. Imagine rocking up to your uni accom and copping the future Queen of Norway as your roommate?

Who is the future queen of Norway?

The princess is second in line for the throne in Norway, behind her father Crown Prince Haakon.

Her grandfather, King Harald is the current reigning monarch.

She’s 21-years-old and she recently graduated from the military in April. She completed 15 months of military service with the Engineer Battalion in Brigade North.

As a result, she’s got experience with weapons use, field operations and she’s served as a gunner on a CV90 armoured vehicle. So she’s not to be messed with.

Why has she chosen Australia?

This is not as clear. It might just have been her own personal preference.

Our (biased) guess is that who wouldn’t want to enjoy an Aussie summer if they could?

She won’t be performing any royal duties while she’s a student though. Which means she’ll be spending her time buying $10 Sydney coffees and enjoying walks along Bondi.

Maybe she’ll sign up as a Student Edge member? 👀
