Pride Week in the US Was Overtaken by Aussie Horror Icon The Babadook

#Babashook
Just in case you’ve not been near the internet this past week, The Babadook is a gay icon now.
We’re not going to get into the reasons why the behatted picture-book creature from Jennifer Kent’s Aussie horror flick is suddenly an LGBTQI hero. (It’s one of the web’s best “just-go-with-it” memes.)
All you need to really know is that our American cousins have embraced the Babadook and made him the de facto mascot for their Pride events across the country.
And if you thought they were utilising the Babadook with only mild enthusiasm, you are mistaken.
