Police Puppy, Fired for Being Too Social, Lands a Sick Promotion

Gavel the young German Shepherd had dreams of being a police pooch in the Queensland force.
Unfortunately for Gavel, his trainers deemed him too social, with a penchant for belly rubs and mucking around over stopping crims in their tracks. His handlers said he did not display "the necessary aptitude for a life on the front line". I wonder why...

He was living at the Governor of Queensland's official residence for the first months of his training before he was sacked. Governor Paul de Jersey found the puppy too damn adorable to simply give up on and awarded him with the title of Vice-Regal Dog.
Gavel signed his contract back in February and has been happily undertaking duties since.
And in case you haven't already exploded from an overdose in cuteness, here's a video of Gavel as a young pupper.
