Pokémon Go Updates: Gen Two Pokémon And Pikachu In A Santa Hat

Niantic have announced that a few second generation favourites will be added to Pokémon Go, including Pichu and Togepi.
Unlike other Pokémon in the game, you won’t be able to catch the new ones in the wild as you normally would. Instead, players will need to visit PokéStops to collect eggs that might hatch into a second gen Pokémon. (With a lot of walking, of course).
Niantic and The Pokemon Company have named Pichu, Togepi and “select other Pokemon” as some of the new additions.
Funnily enough, last month, players found code for the entirety of generation two — numbers 151 through to 251 in the Pokédex. Suggesting that, perhaps, there'll be plenty new Pokémon to catch.

Another exciting addition is available from now until December 29; a special “holiday edition” Pikachu. Players have been assured that they should have no trouble finding the festive hat-wearing Pokémon during this time frame.

Even though the hype around Pokémon Go has died down, this might just be the Christmas miracle Niantic need to revive the game?
