My First Joke with Dilruk Jayasinha: He's Been Doing Advanced Anti-Comedy Since He Could Read

There's nothing comedians like more than receiving a demand to tell a joke.

Kidding. They hate it.

So instead, we're asking Australia's best comics to tell us their first joke, in all its embarrassing, cringe-worthy glory.

In this episode, Utopia star Dilruk Jayasinha went "way, way back, to a time before I could read" to reveal his childhood forays into "anti-comedy, before anti-comedy was even a thing". He also revealed how his obsession with comedy began: by making his brother laugh and getting paid in rupees out of his mother's purse.

Check it out below.

You can see Dilruk Jayasinha perform at Perth Fringe World until 18 February 2018. You can catch the rest of his live dates around the country here.
