Missing Your Sport? You Can At Least Video Chat With the Perth Wildcats

We’ll take it.
Now that you’ve gotten used to video conferencing with family, friends and teachers during self-isolation, it’s time to level up and take on the champs.
In an honestly very unexpected and bizarre but welcome initiative, the NBL’s Perth Wildcats are inviting their members into video conference calls with players.
It comes after the Wildcats were named the 2019-20 season champions in controversial circumstances, when the Sydney Kings pulled out of the Finals series due to concerns over coronavirus. (The Cats were up 2 – 1 in the five-game series.)

Perth Wildcats Are One of the World’s Winningest Teams, So Why Are They Always the Underdog?
Given the fact that most of us don’t have the luxury of an at-home gymnasium or backyard basketball court to practice our skills, a 15-minute chat with MVP Bryce Cotton or All-NBL Boomer Nick Kay could help you build on your skills. (Better yet, you can drill Cotton and Kay on whether or not they're really coming back to the NBL in 2020-21, given the paycuts across the league as a result of the COVID-19 impact.)

The initial video calls will be held on Tuesday 28 April, Wednesday 29 April and Friday 1 May. However, you have until Friday 24 April to register (here). That is, if you're a member of the Wildcats' Red Army. If successful, you’ll be informed who your call will be with and when. They will add more dates for future calls after this initial round is completed.
If you’re not a Wildcats fan, you can head to the Sydney Kings and Melbourne United Facebook pages and follow along with their trainers’ at-home workout vids. See, everyone’s getting involved!
