Michael Phelps Gets 22nd Gold; Breaks 2,168-Year-Old Record

And what did you do today?
Though Michael Phelps getting a gold medal hardly qualifies as “news” – I mean, it’s happened 21 times before today – the fact that he scored his 13th individual title at Rio 2016 today deserves a mention.
With that milestone, Phelps managed to break the record of individual medals set by Leonidas of Rhodes, who managed 12 by 152 BC, the New York Times reports.
That means Phelps is the first person in 2,168 years to achieve such a feat. Does this mean we’ll need to wait until 4,184 for someone else to actually outgun them both?
Phelps' gold in the 200m individual medley is his fourth from the Rio games, 22nd overall and 26th Olympic medal, total. Leonidas, by comparison, only won 12 events over four Olympic Games (though, awesomely, one of those was for “shield-carrying”).
Take that, dude who’s been dead for centuries!
I don't know about you, but @MichaelPhelps is feeling 22 #Gold in the 200m IM final! #Swimming #Rio2016 https://t.co/aa1zJzMKJY

Correction: This report originally stated that Leonidas' record was for swimming. Student Edge regrets the error.

It was so close! I'm disappointed that we didn't win a gold medal :(
Hey, there are several things which don't make sense in your article.
The New York Times reported that Phelps broke the record with the 1:54:66 medley performance, and not 'tied'.
Also, I don't know where you're coming from with 'he's the first person in 2,168 years to complete the individual medley in [1:54:66']'. There are plenty of people who have swam that time or faster - in fact, Phelp's PB is 1:54:23 as the NY Times article indicates - so I don't understand why speed deserves a special mention.
Now that I've read it again, I think you're suggesting that his individual medley time equals that of Leonidas - but that's even more absurd?? The Greek dude was a spinrter, so he never competed in swimming medleys???
