Student Edge Takes Maggi Noodles Straight Into The Homes of University Students

Student Edge teamed up with Maggi this month to let students sample Maggi’s Mi Goreng line inside university colleges and dorms.

We distributed an impressive 258 boxes (which equates to 3,096 noodle cups) to eight universities in New South Wales and Victoria.

The students sampled three flavours—soy, mild and Singapore—and were shown how quick and easy it was to set up.

Responses from the students were positive, with many happy about the convenience of sampling the noodles around dinner time.

The target was to distribute 258 noodle boxes. With all those hungry university students, that certainly wasn’t a problem.

Student Edge’s Promotions & Engagement Manager of Student Edge, Laurette Chetty-Mcloughlin, who worked on both campaigns, explained that this was a great achievement for the Student Edge experiential team.

“It was great to see our team go above and beyond to ensure that targets were met with passion and integrity,” she said.

Matthew Samuel, Senior Relationship Manager at Student Edge, was pleased with the result we achieved for Maggi.

“They were most impressed with how Student Edge could think outside the box,” Samuel explained of the innovative approach.

“By proposing visits to colleges and dorms, we demonstrated that we not only understood the brief, but we really know young people and how best to reach them.”
