Kylie Jenner Is More Popular Than Kim Kardashian, According To Data Hack

Mere weeks – weeks! – after the Ashley Madison data dump, the Kardashian/Jenner collective has unveiled a fleet of websites that are embarrassingly vulnerable to hackers.

Software engineer Alaxic Smith – who is 19, it should be said – investigated the websites of Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner, all of which are tied to their new subscription-based apps.

“Just for fun,” Smith dug into the nuts and bolts of the sites and decided to see what data he could mine from it.

Turns out: most of it.

(He has since deleted his post, but Google never forgets.)

Not only was he able to access the full names and email addresses of everyone who signed up, he also had the power to “create / destroy” users, which, in his language, has a real Thanos kind of vibe to it.

Smith didn’t make the details of the subscribers’ public, but he did reveal just how many users each family member had accumulated.

In a surprise twist, Kim – arguably the most famous of the lot – came third, with the just-tuned-18 Kylie Jenner dominating as Number #1. (Kylie also had more than 13 times as many fans as her older sister, Kendall.)

The breakdown:

Kylie Jenner (thekyliejenner.com): 663,270 Users

Khloe Kardashian (khloewithak.com): 96,635 Users

Kim Kardashian (kimkardashianwest.com): 80,679 Users

Kendall Jenner (kendallj.com): 50,756 Users

Total Users: 891,340

Smith has a theory behind Kylie’s victory:

“Millennials want to be closer to their favorite people, artists, athletes and more than ever. There’s no coincidence that Kylie had ~828% more signups than Kim,” he explained.

“I’ve reached out to the team behind these apps, Whalerock Digital Media, and let them know of this issue and what they can do to fix it. Also, no data was stolen or modified in the making of the blog post.”

So, Khloe fans, your secret is safe… for now.
