Keeping The Uni Dream Alive With UTS: INSEARCH
So your ATAR results weren’t quite what you had hoped for. All at once, that dream degree, that dream career and that dream house with that white picket fence comes crashing down around you. Your friends are high fiving each other and can’t wait to open the next exciting chapter of their lives: university.

Thankfully, there is another way to get into university and you could even catch up with your friends by the time they are in their second year.
If you’re aiming to graduate with a degree from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), in either Business, Communication, Design or Architecture, Engineering, Information Technology or Science then consider its premium pathway provider - UTS: INSEARCH.
Choose from one of their 6 diploma courses, and depending on what course you choose, you can actually fast track into the second year of a UTS degree! So essentially you are not really missing out.
The other good thing is that UTS:INSEARCH don’t look at ATAR’s. Entry is purely based on a student’s HSC subject average not their ATAR as they believe this a fairer assessment of a student’s academic ability – and I couldn’t agree more.
You’ll also be learning in small classes, gain lots of extra support along the way and have access to the UTS campus too. So you’re pretty much a university student from the get go…!
Klodia Fatouleh studied a Diploma of Design at UTS: INSEARCH after missing the ATAR required for UTS Architecture by a few marks.
“I felt disappointed because it’s been my dream to get into Architecture. It’s something I always knew I will be good at. I started looking at the material I had previously collected at expos and knew UTS: INSEARCH was one of the best options for me.
“UTS: INSEARCH helped me believe in myself again. They made it so much fun to get into uni. The two design courses I took with them were so useful for my degree and will always help me beyond university.
Klodia is now studying Architecture at UTS and doing really well.
“Never give up,” says Klodia. “Not getting the ATAR you want isn’t the end of your academic career. Always watch out for different opportunities like I did. UTS: INSEARCH can help you get to where you want to be.”
Indeed, 90% of all UTS: INSEARCH diploma graduates in 2013 were eligible for direct entry into the second year of a UTS undergraduate degree. FEE-HELP is also available to eligible domestic students.
