Justin Bieber Is Being Sued For Ripping Off The Vocal Riff From "Sorry", So Let's Compare The Songs

Oh, the irony. Noted authenticity-craver Justin Bieber is being sued by singer-songwriter Casey Daniel for plagiarising a key vocal riff in his hit “Sorry”.
Daniel, who goes by White Hinterland, revealed on Facebook today that she has filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement against Bieber and producer Skrillex.
Her argument? That they ripped off the opening vocals from her track “Ring the Bell” for the opening of noted banger “Sorry”.
Though you may be dubious, have a quick listen to the tune below. It’ll take about 0.1 seconds for you to raise your eyebrow in suspicion of Biebs and Skrillex.
And, the song in question.
“Creating original and unique music is my life’s passion, but it is challenging and time consuming,” Daniel's wrote in her Facebook post.
She also claims Bieber and his representatives had ignored all of Daniel's previous attempts to get in touch and rectify the matter.
“Like most artists that sample music, Bieber could have licensed my song for use in ‘Sorry.’ But he chose not to contact me. After the release of ‘Sorry,’ my lawyers sent Bieber a letter regarding the infringement, but Bieber’s team again chose to ignore me. I offered Bieber’s team an opportunity to have a private dialogue about the infringement, but they refused to even acknowledge my claim, despite the obviousness of the sample.
“Justin Bieber is the world’s biggest artist, and I’m sure that he and his team will launch a full attack against me. But, in the end, I was left with no other option. I believe I have an obligation to stand up for my music and art.”
What do you think? Should Bieber say... sorry?
