Harambe Is Dead, Long Live Harambe: Internet Tries To Name Baby Gorilla After… You Know

Last month, the Cincinnati Zoo made a plea to the denizens of the internet, begging them to stop reminding them of that one time they shot Harambe the gorilla.
Needless to say, the Harambe meme production line did not slow down even a little bit.
Now, Philadelphia Zoo has accidentally wandered into the fray, celebrating the birth of a western lowland gorilla by asking its Twitter followers to help name the baby.
You do not need to be told how that went.

And so forth.
Philly Zoo later took to Twitter to clarify the manner in which they’ll be canvassing votes for the bub’s name.
But, basically, you can probably expect this to happen every time a zoo asks the public to name a newly born animal – at least until the internet forgets about the original Harambe (which should happen around the time of the planet’s heat death).

remembering harambe is considerable. However what's lost is lost.
