In New "Captain Marvel" Trailer, Carol Punches an Old Lady and We're Confused

Is Captain Marvel actually the "good guy"? 

There's another Marvel movie on the horizon (when isn't there?) but one snippet from the new trailer has got people scratching their heads.

The first trailer for the upcoming Captain Marvel, featuring Brie Larson in superhero spandex, has just been released and shows Carol Danvers' return to Earth after being one of the galaxy's best superheroes/supervillains.

But in one brief cut, Carol, who appears to be on a bus or train, looks down at a seemingly innocent elderly lady and... hits her with a powerful blow.

We're not the only ones with some seriously conflicted feelings.

But not everyone's shocked.

Without spoiling too much, many comic book faithfuls have suggested the old lady wasn't actually an old lady and that Carol was doing a good thing. It makes sense as Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) announces "we have no idea what threats are out there", just as Carol connects fist to face.

I guess we'll find out for sure when Captain Marvel is released to cinemas in March next year. In the meantime, watch the blows for yourself below.
