It's a House party and you're invited.

We know you’ve always wanted to be sorted into the House of your dreams.
We’re talking Houses like Gryffindor and Slytherin; Stark and Lannister; Full and Fuller.
Alas, actually getting the chance to represent those individual armies (like Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort, Sansa Stark, Cersei Lannister and Uncle Jessie, respectively) will forever be out of your grasp.
Thankfully, you can literally get sorted into a similar House of your own the next time you play League of Legends.
For the Mid-Season Trials, players can pick from one of four Houses: The Council, The United, The Warband and The Faceless. Or, you can take a quiz evaluating how you'd cope in the heat of battle, and be sorted into your best-suited House accordingly.
(Find the quiz by downloading the League of Legends client; players will get the option to either pick a house or take a sorting quiz via a prompt at the top of the page. Those of you who are new to the game, you'll unlock the ability to join a House after completing a series of introductory tutorials and some games. Take our tutorial quiz after you've started your journey to go in the running to win some cool prizes!)
Throughout the Mid-Season Trials, you'll be able to earn points for your House via gameplay missions and MSI watch rewards, and lord your successes over other players and their fallen Houses. That's the dream.
But what does it really mean to be sorted into each of these houses? We’ve got everything you need to know below. Get sorted!
The Council
The name of this House may bring to mind town hall meetings or prefect camp, but if you were asked to join The Council, that means "you’re a natural shotcaller," as Riot Games, the team behind League of Legends, tells us. The Council is made up of wily, fast-thinking strategists; careful planners who don’t act rashly. Think of this as the equivalent of Ravenclaw from the Harry Potter books, or even House Lannister from Game of Thrones (say what you will, but they're usually one step ahead). "Your acute awareness allows you to read opponents and find ways to win," Riot says, adding, "you pride yourself on out-thinking your enemies." Or as DJ Khaled would put it:

The United
Sorry, Manchester fans, we’re not talking to you. Those of House United are "unburdened by ego", according to Riot, so that’s the first and biggest difference between them and Man U. If you were chosen for The United, that means you like to win "through harmony and self-sacrifice… you are optimistic, resilient, and ready to charge into the face of danger for your team." Riot also says this means you love being an underdog: "When all seems lost, you’re the one that starts the comeback." Members of The United are classic Hufflepuffs.

The Warband
According to Riot, if you’re selected for The Warband, it’ll "come as no surprise". In essence, you’re "aggressive, skilled and unafraid of a pivotal moment with the game on your shoulders." That's right, GOT fans: this means you're a straight-up Targaryen. if you’ve ever considered yourself a clutch performer, here's your chance to shine, because members of House Warband "enjoy the pressure of carrying a team and welcome the challenge of a skilled opponent." Think of yourself like Damian Lillard facing off against Russell Westbrook in the NBA Playoffs. It doesn’t matter if you’re unfamiliar with the reference. Just enjoy the GIF…

The Faceless
Don’t misunderstand: The Faceless hardly blend into the background. Rather, they’re impossible to pin down. As inductees will learn in League of Legends, "it’s tough to place someone who prides themselves on being creative and doing the unexpected… You’re notorious for experimenting with off-beat styles, builds and strategies that most wouldn’t even consider." There’s no telling how you’ll dominate your opponent; only that you will dominate your opponent. In fact, "you especially love when the other team doubts you—right up until you’re taking their Nexus," Riot says.
