Homer And Marge Simpson Respond To Those Divorce Rumours

The upcoming season of The Simpsons – its 27th! ­­– has seen the show mired in more controversy than previous years.

First there was the sudden and acrimonious departure of Harry Shearer, voice of Mr. Burns, Smithers, Ned Flanders and countless others.

Then was the revelation that Sideshow Bob would actually kill Bart in a Treehouse of Horror instalment, which is nonetheless a pretty dark development for the series.

Later came producer Al Jean’s announcement that Marge and Homer would maybe divorce in an upcoming ep, when Homer becomes enamoured with a character voiced by Girls Lena Dunham.

Needless to say, the Internet, already addicted to rageahol, only had their anger embiggened by all three of these developments.

To stifle the backlash, the heads of the Simpson clan have come together and put out a video assuring fans that their love is as strong as it has ever been.

Well, it at least proves that Marge is as patient towards her husband as she’s ever been.
