Whenever there’s financial fraud or embezzlement involved, a forensic account’s investigation has greatly contributed.

Financial Investigators.
Also known as an auditor, a financial investigator is involved in ensuring the reliability and validity of financial statements.
You might be working for the government or for an independent firm, but every day, you’ll be assessing a company or individual’s financial statements or tax info, making sure everything’s up to scratch.

CEO or Entrepreneur.
After all, an accountant graduating from Monash is a business genius.
An incredible amount of business leaders, CEOs, changemakers and entrepreneurs come from accounting backgrounds for that specific reason.
An accounting degree teaches you how to make savvy business decisions, understand finances and push your company forward.
So, if you undertake an accounting degree, you could be making your first steps towards being the boss.

Environmental Accountant.
We’ve previously spoken about how accounting can have a major community impact – and environmental accountants are a big part of that.
Environmental accountants are responsible for assessing how business decisions impact the environment.
This might include analysing the impact of certain choices, researching a company’s carbon footprint and much more.

Cybersecurity Analyst.
Cybersecurity accountants are charged with ensuring sensitive data is protected, guarding the safety of companies and clients.
They also involve themselves in the protection of financial systems from cyber attacks.
A career in cybersecurity accounting could see you working for a private firm or working to protect data in one of Australia’s intelligence organisations.
