Donald Trump Reckons Election Is Rigged, Before It's Even Over.

Donald Trump has said the election is rigged by the dishonest media and polling places.

Just when you thought US Republican nominee Donald Trump couldn't be more vocal about things he hates, he's lashed out against the entire election process by saying it's all rigged. The entire thing.

"The election is absolutely being rigged by the dishonest and distorted media pushing Crooked Hillary - but also at many polling places - SAD," he wrote on Twitter on Sunday.

Trump's adviser, Rudy Giuliani has also accused the Democrats of "cheating" in this election.

New polls show Trump losing ground while Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton gains a significant lead.

Trump's response seems to be some kind of deflective, defense mechanism. Is anyone else reminded of a small kid crying that "things aren't fair" when they don't go his way?

Earlier, he accused the press of reporting things inaccurately. Namely, the sexual assault allegations documented by The New York Times.

Trump responded, saying the "election is being rigged by the media, in a coordinated effort with the Clinton campaign, by putting stories that never happened into news!"

According to Mike Pence, Republican Candidate for Vice President, Trump isn't the only person who shares this view.

Pence said the American people are tired of obvious bias in the national media, which is where this whole sense of a rigged election stems from. He has, however, insisted that both him and Trump will accept the election results, whatever they end up being.

Supporters at Trump rallies have mirrored his views, often attacking the political system as a whole. This kind of reactionary behaviour is becoming a growing cause for concern, as Democrats and Republicans alike are worried how his backers might respond if he loses.

Political commentators have suggested that Trump's tactics are allowing him to paint himself as an anti-establishment figure. Someone who's being personally victimised by the political elite.

They're also saying it gives him an excuse if he loses.

By the looks of the polls right now, that might just be the case.
