Donald Trump Described As Chimp-Like By Jane Goodall (Who Is Pretty Good At Spotting That Kind Of Thing)

Breaking: Donald Trump may actually be a chimpanzee.

Anthropologist Jane Goodall has spent several decades studying primates in the wild and has applied her expertise to the US presidential campaign.

Speaking to the Atlantic, Goodall said: "In many ways the performances of Donald Trump remind me of male chimpanzees and their dominance rituals."

"In order to impress rivals, males seeking to rise in the dominance hierarchy perform spectacular displays: stamping, slapping the ground, dragging branches, throwing rocks," she added.

Asked why Trump's campaign has reached such heights of success, Goodall drew upon years of research into how chimpanzees display acts of dominance. She observed, "the more vigorous and imaginative the display, the faster the individual is likely to rise in the hierarchy, and the longer he is likely to maintain that position."

Trump's vision for a dividing wall between America and Mexico sounds like a pretty "vigorous and imaginative" display if you ask me. Just, uh, probably not for the right reasons.

While observing Trump, Goodall was reminded of a particular chimp she affectionately called Mike. Apparently, Mike would often create unnecessary noise in order to scare off rivals.

Critics have blasted Trump for excessive fear mongering - most of his speeches have made headlines because of how purely obscene his scare-tactics have been.
