So, you catch your canine brothers (or sisters - it's hard to tell) at an impasse, both desperately clinging to a sole tennis ball.

A) Pick a side and overwhelm the lesser dog with brute force?

B) Attempt diplomacy and encourage the two of them to end their stand-off and simply share?

C) Stick your head between theirs as either a metaphorical protest to the way in which war blinds its participants, or to just plain screw with your siblings?
