Surprise! Darth Vader Just Popped His Helmet Into The New "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" Trailer

After premiering at Comic-Con last month, the full trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has landed online.

And, wouldn't you know it? Darth Vader himself sneakily popped his helmeted head into it!

Of course, you only get a glimpse of Vader in the closing seconds, but the rest of the clip gives us far more footage from the Episode IV prequel, all about the rogues who go about stealing plans for the Death Star. We won't spoil what happens afterwards... but come on.

Though evidence of Vader's presence is indeed tantalising, our heart still belongs to the film's other villain: Director Orson Krennic - mainly because he's being played by Ben "Mendo" Mendelsohn. Remember when he rocked up to Comic-Con in full, caped costume? Awesome.

Rumours of behind-the-scene turmoil aside, we're greatly excited for Rogue One's debut on December 16.

In somewhat related news, Donald Glover is reportedly Disney's first choice to play Lando Calrissian in Phil Lord and Chris Miller's upcoming "young Han Solo" spin-off movie (featuring Alden Ehrenreich as Han).

Hey, this is a pretty good day to be a Star Wars fan.
