Clueless Turns 20: Whatever, Have Some GIFs

How often do teen movies as funny, insightful, long-lasting and zeitgeist-capturing like Clueless come around? Not sporadically.

Amy Heckerling's oh-so-90s Clueless has finally exited teendom, celebrating the 20th anniversary of its release on July 19.

The flick, which made a (temporary) star of Alicia Silverstone and somehow cryogenically froze her ageless scene partner Paul Rudd, was an ingenious update of Jane Austen's Emma, only set in Los Angeles and soundtracked by No Doubt.

Like Fast Times at Ridgemont High - also by Heckerling - before it, and Mean Girls after it, Clueless is an impeccable time capsule that remains close to the hearts of all who grew up with it.
