Claire Underwood Declares Middle-Aged White Men Are "Over" In New "House of Cards" Teaser

Another nail in the coffin for Frank Underwood.

Claire has always been the most exciting (and perhaps, disturbing) character on House of Cards, but was often left in the shadow of her husband's (that's Frank Underwood, if you've already forgotten) career.

Now that pesky character is out of the way, Claire has finally been given the podium to shine and she's taking no prisoners (because she prefers straight-up murder).

In the latest teaser to be released by Netflix, Claire is seen as distraught, presumably, in the wake of husband's sudden and deliberate departure, but as always, it's a ruse.

See above: Expertly feigning human emotions in a classic Claire move.

She later declares that the "reign of middle-aged white men is over" and tells her constituents not to believe a word of what Frank Underwood has said in the past five years.

Given that this is the final season of the first Netflix Original to be produced, things are unlikely to stay peachy for Claire for very long. Like suspicious journo Tom Hammerschmidt mentions in the teaser, "the bodies are adding up" and quite a few of them can be attributed to our fave serial killer President, Claire Underwood.

The final season of House of Cards will premiere on Netflix on 2 November.
