Chocolate-Covered Fries Are Heading To McDonald's Japan, Because Japan Gets It

Warning: this article will clog your arteries.

McDonald’s, unsatisfied with merely having rolled out all-day breakfast, just went and changed the game once again.

In Japan, the fast food giant is preparing to launch McChoco Potato, which is exactly what it sounds like: chocolate-drizzled French fries.

The choc-fries will be available in Japan – and Japan only – from January 26 for a limited time.

McDonald’s told Forbes that there are no plans to bring the heart-stopping treat to American stores.

Given that local McDonald's franchisees are increasingly worried about the ever-lengthening menu, don't expect it to arrive in Australia anytime soon either.

Still, we can dream. Or, even better, just pour our own melted-chocolate over the fries from the comfort of our own homes (where no prying eyes can judge).

Really, is it so much of a stretch for those who have already taken to stuffing fries into their soft serve, or in the straw of their post-mix drink?

Don't answer that. We know what you're thinking.
