Cheap Eats: Brew, QLD

They charge extra for avo, but still come in under budget.

When you make breakfast plans with a friend you hope to find yourself at an eatery that fulfils that cold morning's winter hunger.
On this particular morning, my first visit to one of the city's underground delights, hidden away in Brisbane CBD's Burnett Lane, was indeed a memorable experience. The name of the place? Brew.
After an efficient table service by the waiter, I ordered a pot of Byron Bay's "For The Love Of Tea” Green Tea. The Sencha Ginger and Mint aromas were a delight and a tea enthusiast had kicked-started my morning without the need of caffeine.
Having browsed the breakfast menu, I ended up ordering the $10 Haloumi Bagel with chili jam, pesto, tomato, caramelised onion and rocket -- as well as the addition of avocado (for an extra $3.50). The ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection.
Brew is an affordable 10/10 breakfast restaurant -- I would return to enjoy again.
