We Just Got A Sneak Peek into “Bridgerton” Season 3 and OMG

It has literally been nearly two years since Bridgerton season 2 was released, so we cannot wait until season 3 comes out in May of this year.

And just to keep us on our toes, Netflix has released a little teaser to show us what’s coming.

As a Valentine’s gift to all the fans, Netflix and Shondaland hosted a fan event about the upcoming season with Executive Producer Shonda Rhimes, season 3 frontrunner Jess Brownell and the author of the series, Julia Quinn.

When we left Colin and Penelope in season 2, we saw them share a romantic dance together at the Featherington Ball at the end of the social season.

Penelope obviously leaves swooning and thrilled.

Until, she overhears Colin talking to his friends about her. Specifically, he said, “Are you mad? I would never dream of courting Penelope Featherington. Not in your wildest fantasies.”

Which caused her to run off in a fit of tears, and caused us to scream at Colin Bridgerton through our screens. 

In this new clip from season 3 we get to see Penelope confront Colin about what she overheard and (rightfully) tell him off.

We stan a confident, no-nonsense Penelope 🙌

Why we love Colin and Penelope.

As viewers, we’ve already watched two seasons watching Penelope’s unrequited crush on Colin. So it's only natural we already feel so invested in their love story. 

“Usually we’re meeting a new person who’s falling in love with one of our regulars,” said Shonda Rhimes when asked about what excites her most this season.

“But this time, we know the people who are falling in love. We’re already rooting for them because we already know them, and I’m excited for that.”

What else should we expect from Bridgerton season 3?

Colin isn’t going to get off that easy because Shonda revealed at the Netflix Valentine’s Day panel that there is a new suitor for Penelope, Lord Debling played by Sam Phillips.

The panel also revealed some Bridgerton season 3 photos and episode titles.

They also revealed that two super-fans of Bridgerton will get the chance to participate in a Bridgerton fan wedding.

It’s officially time to wave goodbye to Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma (although they will still be in season 3), and say hello to Colin and Penelope.

Honestly, May can’t come soon enough.

Bridgerton season 3 will be released on Netflix in two parts on 16 May 2024 and 13 June 2024.
